Message from President Elliot Hirshman

San Diego State University is grateful for the opportunity to recognize the extraordinary lifetime achievements of the Kyoto Prize Laureates. We are pleased the Inamori Foundation has honored San Diego with the Kyoto Prize Symposium. What makes our support of this event meaningful is a common mission that SDSU shares with the Kyoto Prize and our partners — University of San Diego; University of California, San Diego; and Point Loma Nazarene University. We all exist to promote human growth and development through a balanced and holistic philosophy that spans cultures. We are proud to join in this remarkable celebration of global understanding.
